Choose an idea for a business that will be the topic of your capstone project (Muscle Movers will only be a moving company that provides how ever many movers you require, it will not sell any product only man power). As you consider the subject of your business plan, think through the following questions carefully. These questions will resurface in the business plan:
1. What is the problem/need the product/service solves or addresses? (It will be located in Oakland Ca. 94501)
2. Who is the customer, in demographic terms?
3. What is the customer’s psychographic?
4. Where is the customer located — what is the geography? Pick a place, be very specific, perhaps even by zip code so that you can easily pull data. If you go wide, like a region, a state, a county, a country, you must pull data for this area. This is not recommended because it will complicate your business plan and make it harder to complete.
5. Consider the 5 Ps — product, place, promotion, price, people — you will need data on this info for each section of the business plan.
6. Consider the operational process required to develop this product/service. How complicated is it? What is the workflow? Is it feasible? Keep it simple.
