You are an HRM practitioner that owns their own consulting firm and your specialization is focusing on strategically aligning HR functions in all areas of HR to overarching organizational goals. Recently you’ve received a contract from a SME that specializes in telecommunications. They are entering a new phase where they will be growing exponentially and they need to make their HR functions much more limber. The COO and CEO have approached you as one of three firms they are considering. The COO and CEO have asked that you build a presentation that provides the following:
Your perspectives on the trends and future direction of HRM in the 21st century.
What general policies you feel would be found in their organization as they grow.
What external factors (e.g., political, social, economical, etc.) would be influencers in HR practices and how they could potentially impact HR practices for their organization.
They want you to identify the priority areas that you would focus on first given their expected growth spurt in the next 12-18 months.
They expect a plan that reduces cost of staffing but ensure that you retain talent. They want your plans on how you will ensure motivation and job security to their staff while also coming up with a series of metrics to ensure that those less talented are let go.
Be sure that your presentation is at least 15-20 slides at length and includes the speaker’s notes. Your slides must be APA formatted and that they must include a title slide and reference slide. Finally you should use at least 8-10 scholarly references throughout your presentation to substantiate your position and support your recommendations.
