The deliverable is a 1650 word APA formatted paper that you will submit for feedback and guidance from your advisor.
PART ONE: OVERVIEW OF PROPOSED CAPSTONE (450 – 500 WORDS) (FORMATIVE)
In 450-500 words, provide an overview of your proposed capstone. This should include a draft of: 1) your proposed capstone topic/focal area and purpose, 2) why this topic is important, 3) the people you wish to involve (e.g. participants, capstone partner, feedback partners, subject matter experts), 4) your inquiry questions, 5) what you hope to achieve with your capstone (outcomes), and 6) your connection with the project and how it will support your leadership and learning. In your submission, please identify if you are doing a thesis or ELP and if you are doing an Organizational Focused or First-Person Focused capstone. Note: This part of the assignment is formative.
PART TWO: EXPLORATION OF HOW YOUR PROPOSED PROJECT IS ENGAGED AND ACTION ORIENTED (1250 – 1500 WORDS) (SUMMATIVE)
This part of your assignment is an opportunity to blend theories and principles of engaged, action-oriented approaches with your specific capstone context.
By synthesizing, comparing, and contrasting the literature you have read, and drawing from your own experiences, write a maximum 1250 –1500 word APA formatted paper that responds to the following questions:
What does an engaged, action-oriented approach mean to you in your proposed capstone context?
Given what you know about your capstone context and change processes, how might an engaged, action-oriented approach support you in facilitating a successful change process with others and/or yourself?
Who might you involve in your engaged, action-oriented change project and what are the benefits of engaging these people?
What methods might support you to engage people throughout your engaged, action-oriented change project (e.g. how can people be involved in inquiry design, implementation, analysis, and knowledge translation)?
