Women and minorities have been creating art since people began painting art on the walls of their caves. Women and minorities have not, however, received the same recognition as white male artists. In this journal entry, you will work to correct this by identifying modern artwork created by a woman and/or minority, and explore what you think and feel about this artwork.
Once again, remember that modern art exists all around us if we are observant enough to notice it. It exists in traditional settings and not-so-traditional settings.
