Part ONE – Short Answer
1. Discuss, create a thesis and prove an idea about the Olmecs. You can focus on: Government, Social Structure, Technology, Religion, and/or Downfall.
2. Compare and contrast if they want. If you write a compare and contrast make sure that you distinguish which group is superior.

Part TWO – Primary Source
After reading: Victors and Vanquished – Omens – Answer the questions below:
1) Provide a Summary of ONE of the Primary Sources from the Omens Section. Make sure you include the Title and Number of the Primary Source you have selected.
2) What is ONE of the Omens Discussed – What did it predict? And, why is the prediction important?
3) Find an image that depicts ONE of the Omens presented in the Primary Source Scanned article. Provide a ONE paragraph description of the image and how does it connect to the text that we read?
