Questions 1. Discuss your organization’s readiness for change relative to your evidence-based practice change project. How do you know the organization is ready ?2. After reading your text about team development, consider the inter-professional team (this means disciplines outside of nursing) at your agency that will be involved in implementing your evidence-based practice project. What challenges will each discipline involved face and how will the practice change impact their current workflow? This week’s discussion will force you to consider the team members involved in your proposed project and what their roles will be. In addition to your role and other nursing roles, you must include disciplines outside of nursing (e.g. pharmacy, medicine, IT, social work, etc.) TIME TO PLAN ! This week students should begin to dive into the project management phase of their projects. (This includes the activities that occur before you really dive into planning the specific implementation steps.)The development of your capstone project will take a lot of hard work and brainstorming! We will have another graded discussion this week related to the people at your site who will be involved in your project. Your first brief writing assignment is due this week. Please see the assignment guidelines and rubric posted in the first block. Please also read the attached article below and the chapters 1 and 9 from your Hickey text, After completing the activities listed below you will be able to: 1. Identify key stakeholders and organizational elements that are essential to implement a successful project (supports student learning outcome #1 and #2).
