Hemolytic anemias may be inherited (such as in sickle cell anemia) or acquired. What are the etiologies for each and what is the pathophysiological mechanism shared by both?
1. Make sure that you are using “in-text” citations in your initial and peer responses.
2. Make sure that you list your references and in-text citations using APA formatting. Here is a good site to use for APA formatting as well as the information in your “References” tab in the course and the lib guides in the MVC Library:
3. You will need to use scholarly articles for your references. You must have (1) scholarly reference for each peer post and (2) for your initial post. Healthline, Web MD, Mayo Clinic and Brittanica etc are NOT scholarly references and will not be accepted unless they are in addition to your two main references.
Here is one way to search for articles: http://libguides.mountainviewcollege.edu/?b=s
Here is a link to the MVC databases. The two most commonly used are Medline and CINAHL (best for nursing resources).https://libguides.mountainviewcollege.edu/az.php
– Do not reuse the same quote from the same source repetitively throughout you initial and peer postings. You MUST use a different source for both of your peer postings and your initial post. You should have 4 references total. Two for your initial post and 1 for each of your peer postings.
4. Your response to your peer should be supportive, professional but must also contain scholarly work and references to support their ideas. You are expounding on what they have written. Here is an example of a response:
Your discussion board was very thorough and gave a very good understanding of the signs and symptoms associated with cancer. You did a very good job of explained the complications in great detail. One thing that surprised me was how the text stated that pain is usually associated with advanced malignant cancer and sometimes not detected in early stages (Huether & McCance, 2017). I find this intriguing as most processes involve pain as an indicator that something is wrong. I am very sorry to hear of your aunt’s passing and that you had to experience that. I do agree with you that hopefully, one day, there will be a cure. Until then, I am glad that we do have the developing technology and science to help eliminate a lot of the above mentioned signs, symptoms, and ailments that are correlated with this disease.

Follow the discussion board rubric closely including word count and APA format. Remember intros and signatures ( thank you, best regards) at the end of DB do not count towards your word count.
As for the discussion response I will send them one the students start to post .
