Answer TWO of the following questions. Each answer should be approximately five to six paragraphs with a limit of 1000 words each. Answers should draw on the textbook, class notes, and what we have covered in the discussion section. You must incorporate material from International Relations and Lord of the Rings in your essay.
1) The logic/assumption of anarchy is widely used by neorealism. How powerful is this concept? What can and can’t this concept explain? How would other school(s) [pick two to three] challenge and respond to this assumption? Use LotR and real-world examples to demonstrate your case.
2) What are the different approaches in Feminist IR? What sort of research do they focus on, and how do they conduct this research? Using an example from both the real world and LotR, compare and contrast how two feminist scholars might research the same topic in different ways.
3) What is constructivism? How does this approach challenge both liberalism and realism? How can this approach explain the world (both LotR and real world) better than other approaches? What can this approach not explain?
