This assignment is chapter 1 of a dissertation. Chapter 1 must cover all sections listed below. There is a chapter 1 draft and prospectus attached to these instructions. Below are all the sections that should be in chapter 1. In the draft some of the sections are missing and the writing will have to use all the information provided to complete those sections. Please use the examples of qualitative dissertations attached to guide you on expectations in chapter 1. Most of chapter 1is completed except for a few sections. Some sections that are already completed needs to be expounded on. The title of the study is Resource Deprived: Human Service Professionals Perspectives on Resources Needed In Urban Education. This study is for a human service PhD program so everywhere that says school social worker or social worker needs to be replaced with the word human service professional and/or school based human service professional. Also, where you see the word African American needs to be replaced with the term Black. The writer should expect to submit several revisions because it must go through an approval process with a committee, and I also must review it before submitting it. This chapter needs to be extremely thorough but also clear and concise. The chapter should be approximately 20 pages. If more is needed, please let me know. Since I have completed more than have of the requirements for pages and content, I was instructed by paper help administrators to order a 15-page project. The purpose of a dissertation background/history section is to give the reader the relevant facts about your chosen dissertation topic so that they understand the material or case that you will write about later and how it links to your theoretical question.
It aims to contextualize your study and to explain its relevance. The background chapter will explain how your work adds to and builds upon existing academic studies.

Your background section should relate to your research topic in question; this requires you to make explicit links between the stories you tell and the questions and theoretical approaches you are using.
To do this, try to ensure a tight fit between this and the proposal’s other sections. Your history should be the empirical embodiment of your theoretical section. If, for example, you are writing on indigenous land rights struggles in Bolivia, you should not just include a history of events, but a history that is tightly linked to your theoretical concerns and the research question you are asking. Trace the major actors, sources of change, and point to potential outcomes. If you do this, your history section offers a chance to expound on (for the benefit of others’ understanding) the broader topic through the details of your story.
The dissertation history/background should demonstrate your experience, knowledge, and passion.
What you write about and how you write can reveal a great deal about your knowledge and interest in your subject. This is true in all parts of your proposal, but perhaps most so in this section.
Use the background section as an occasion to show the depths of your knowledge of the topic by demonstrating your fluency in accepted understandings and literature as well as your fresh insights and approaches.
