Write a 4-5 page (double spaced, size 12 Times New Roman font, 1 inch margins) paper analyzing a film that addresses group issues. Evaluate, critique and provide examples of small-group communication theories, concepts, and ideas as they appear in the film. Please do not give a summary of the film, as that defeats the purpose of the assignment. The objective is to apply course material to real life situations as portrayed in a film. Your grade will be determined based on your ability to thoroughly critique the film. Apply concepts from the book/class and provide specific examples from the film. At the end, briefly discuss the overall role that communication plays in the film and in the interactions and relationships seen within the film.
For a better analysis, I suggest you watch the film a second time. You may see examples of the same concepts several times throughout the film, avoid repetition of these concepts in your paper. The following are some of the main topics discussed in this class that may appear in the film in varying degrees. You should provide examples of and discuss at least 8 concepts as it relates to the film.
