Using any one of the texts
in the Reading Bank as an entry-point to a subject, write and post a 400-700
word blog entry on the class’s Blackboard site. Your post must include embedded
images and hyperlinks.
You may choose to write an
expository post (concentrating on giving information) or a persuasive one
(taking a position on your subject and arguing for it), or you could choose to
write more reflectively on your personal experience and how your text pertains
to it. You may also choose an alternative format (eg Tweet thread, infographic,
web comic etc) — if you choose a visual format, you should also include as a
follow-up comment a paragraph summarizing and expanding upon your post.
Regardless of how you
choose to engage with your topic, your post must contain significant research
(include hyperlinks to at least three outside sources), and visual content
(such as images, photos, graphs, etc). You can include your APA-formatted reference
list as a follow-up comment to your post.
It has 15% of your final
grade.
