In your role as a management consultant, prepare a business
report for submission to the board of directors of Adam cars Limited which
contains the following:
Section 1:
Performance review
Using the financial statements
outlined in the case study, and other information available, provide an
analysis of the company’s revenue growth, gross profit, operating profit and
non-financial performance for the year to 31 December 2023, in comparison with
the previous year.
Section 2:
Financial position
Using the
financial statements outlined in the case study, and other information
available, provide an analysis of the company’s liquidity, working capital
management and financial structure at the 31 December 2023, in comparison with
the previous year.
Section 3:
Financial forecasts
Calculate the company’s operating
budget for the year to 31 December 2023 using the budgeting assumptions
outlined in the case study. Additionally, you should evaluate the suitability
of the company’s approach to budgeting and the sensitivity of the budgeting
assumptions.
Section 4:
Investment appraisal
Provide an analysis of the proposed-out diversification
investment, as lined in the case study, applying a selection of non-discounted
and discounted investment appraisal techniques.
Section 5: CSR Issues
Provide an analysis how is the car
industry addressing the dual challenges of diversity and sustainability, and
what strategies or initiatives are being implemented to ensure a more inclusive
workforce and environmentally responsible practices in vehicle manufacturing
and operations?
What is and should be the role of
Government in addressing the issue of waste reduction?
Additional

Your report should be addressed to
the company’s board of directors and should focus on providing commercial
analysis and practical insight to the reader.
Your analysis should be based on the information provided in
the case study, along with any further research. Please see Moodle for
suggestions of additional reading, which will help you to conduct appropriate
research.
When writing your business report, it is strongly recommended
that you should use the Business report template (available on Moodle).
Your list of references and any appendices will not be
included in the word count.
However, the quality of your report will be predominantly
assessed on the work that you provide in the five sections which are outlined above.
