For example: I chose this poem because it shows the attitudes that prevail around binary, heteronormative, sexual encounters. Clearly, the anonymous woman in my poem is described as wishing companionship and remaining in her home, whilst she sleeps. The anonymous man in my poem is described as independent, exploratory, and rugged.Maximum score20Paraphrase (60%)Please show how to paraphrase one key term. Using at least two full sentences choose one key terms, paraphrase it and explain your paraphrased term (locate, paraphrase, translate).
For example: I paraphrase the term ‘sexism’ in the title as ‘sex act’, which signifies the poet’s freedom to reinterpret language. In common language, the act of having sex with another person is only very remotely connected to sexism. In the poem, expectations about the ensuing sexual encounter do not focus on understanding, support, or connection. Only brief sex is common for both woman and man. Sexism in academia signifies unfair discrimination due to the biological sex of a person.
