To have good credit is always needed, especially nowadays. To build and maintain a positive credit history that leads to a high credit score means you need to apply for and maintain a credit card or loan. The way I started to build my credit was with a secured credit card. I made on-time payments and paid more than the minimum payment. My car payment has also helped a lot, when applying for anything that has to do with credit one must keep up with the payments. I have no changes to make regarding my credit, maybe just to apply for another card since I only have my secured and auto loan. I don’t like having many cards open. Having good credit involves having good financial thinking. If my friend was in the process of buying a home, the process they need to know is the interest rate and how much the monthly payment would go up, depending on location. They need to know and do research on a good realtor, so they are aware of the neighborhood laws, and the first-time home buyer programs that are out to help. They need to know about interest rates and long-term goals. Having good credit makes everything smoother! All lenders look at credit and job history!
