2 peer reviewed academic journal articles (within last 5 years)
AND 1 recent source that is credible (within 3 years)
Can be news, data, video as long as the source is credible and of significant length
Grad students: 3 academic and 2 other
Format for each resource:
Standard formal paper format
1-inch margins, 12-point font, page numbers, double spaced

Follow Pudue OWL instructions for the title page, found here (only use for the title page)
Read the Purdue notes on the left for exact spacing
Make a new page for each reference
Do the following in order:
At the top list reference in APA Style
Make sure to double check them

First paragraph: Summary
Academic journal articles suggestionsof what you may want to include:
who/what was studied
discussion points
conclusion
suggestions
all information you think you will use in the term paper
again write only what is pertinent to you and why you choose this article
Other sources:
who, what, when, where, etc that is pertinent to you
pertinent specific information, statistics, etc you will use in the term paper
Second paragraph: How it applies to you personally
In a paragraph write how this applies to your identity, matches your experience, or explains what you have observed in what has happened to you, your family, or those very close to you. Also write a sentence expressing how you might use the information from the article in the term paper.
Make sure to speak of how it directly affects YOU, even when it is a family member’s story
Keep the paragraphs brief at 3-4 sentences.Each reference should be less than a page.
