– 1st part of the paper will be the introduction. This will consist of:
The paper begins with a few short introductory paragraphs (not more than one page at most). The primary goal of the introduction is to explain why your study is needed. It uses dramatic illustrations or quotes to set the tone. When writing the
introduction, put yourself in your reader’s position – would you continue reading? The introduction should include:
A. Statement of the problem
B. Purpose
C. Type of Research (exploratory, descriptive, explanatory)
D. Significance of the study
E. Research questions
F. Hypotheses – must have 2-5
G. Citations are mandatory in this section
– The 2nd part of the paper will be the literature review. It will consist of:
This section of your paper is where you will document the past research on the topic you are interested in studying. Write
this section as though the reader is unfamiliar with your subject matter. It is important, therefore, to try and give a history of the research leading to your project, with correct citations. The reader should be aware of exactly what you are trying to prove. This section should also contain a definition of terms section when appropriate. Citations are mandatory in this section.
