This is the assignment. Power off your cell phone, tablet, computer, and other Internet-connected devices. It may be a good idea to give your devices to someone else with orders to keep them from you. During this time period, do not check your social media accounts, email, news feeds, play digital/video games (online, phone, tablet, etc.). This includes your alarms and calendars! You will be disconnected for at least 24 straight hours. (you dont actually have to do this part just write a paper on how you think it would go) After the 24 hours is over, based on, but extending on and reflecting on, your diary/journal, and including other things you remember from that period (preparation, during and the aftermath), write a reflection paper, using Word or other digital word processing. Turn in a Word file. you dont have to write the journal, i will do that based on how you include it in the paper.
There is no need for citation unless it is warranted. This is a reflection and reaction to the assignment, but it is not to be written in an academic paper format. As you might imagine, this will be lengthy, but the length is not prescribed to you. Certainly, 2000-3000 words seems an absolute minimum to accomplish this task, but written word equivalents may change your word counts (things such as video or photos to enhance the narrative). Honesty and authenticity is important. Please include your name, gender, date and age at the top of the paper.
