This is an outline for my public speaking class. Its about a special artifact thats near and dear to our hearts. Mine is a garden gnome made by harley davidson. Ive had it since 2019 and it was a gift from my daugther. Its been all over with me and new citys ive lived in. I
always say its the protector of my place. So this will be two different outline hence why i put 3 pages. One is a preparation outline and the other is a speaking outline. I do have to give a speech that needs to be at least 5 minutes long.

Hello everyone. Today I want to go over the personal artifacts speech and this speech is going to be a little bit different than some of the others because you’re going to start to use visual aids. So for this personal artifacts speech you’re going to select a personal item that’s an artifact and you’re going to have an introduction a body and a conclusion. All speeches should have that. And what you want to do is inform the audience about what the item is. And tell us why it’s important or meaningful for you. You don’t want to just do a show and tell. You want to expand on that. The time limit for this speech is five to five and a half minutes. So you can’t just come up and say hi. This is a pen. I really like this. Have a nice day. That’s not going to work. We need a little bit more than that. So with this a visual aid is recommended but not necessarily required. So if you if the personal artifact for you is something that you can’t actually show let’s say it’s something like an RV because your family went on vacation every summer. We can’t bring that in. You don’t necessarily need to show a picture of it. We all know what an RV is. You could just describe it and tell us about it. So for example I’m to use here really quickly for my personal artifact. I’m going to use a pizza paddle. So that’s one of these things. So I would use this visual aid here. I had I’ve had this for a long time here. So that would be the item. And I would want to describe that item. It’s made out of wood. It’s got a long handle. Those are just basic things. But I want to go beyond that remember. I’ve got to fill up a five minute speech here so I might talk about the wood. The wood doesn’t hold heat the way something with a metal handle might. Now you can find pizza paddles that are made out of aluminum that disperse heat. And that might be part of that speech that I do write talk about different types of them. The long handle protects your hands. What it does it places and removes pizza from the pizza stone. What is it. What is a pizza stone. Well you can explain that. How do you place it. Well you need to make sure that you put cornmeal on it so the dough doesn’t stick to it. And you know it makes you feel like a pro and look like a look like a pro. And then if I’m using this pizza paddle here why it’s important to me for this one. It reminds me of family time. When my kids were small we would make pizza at home. What are the benefits of making pizza at home. Well everyone got there what they wanted. It’s less expensive than ordering out. We have a fun time making and baking and eating pizza and pizza. Come on. But it’s whatever you want to do with this. So really you just need to pick out that artifact. Tell us what that is. And then tell us why it’s important to you and fill up that time. Remember stay organized stay focused on what you’re doing and you should the ship. This should be one that you’re going to have some fun with.
