This is an individual project to be developed, tested, and debugged independently.
You will create an animated story in Alice 3, where a group of teens have gathered to practice their routine for a dance competition. The story must include at least 4 teens dancing. You may include other objects to make the storymore interesting. See rubric for more details.
One teen will be the leader. The remainder of the story is based on your creativity (see rubric next page). Document the story in paragraph form using MS Word; 1 page. (Your story may evolve as you develop the program. Make changes to Word doc.)
Analyze Phase: After your story is documented in word, determine
– the background details,
– and the objects and actions.
Design Phase:
– Develop your algorithm with stepwise refinement in a diagram like figure 6.6 and figure 6.7 on
pages 106 and 107. Document in MS Word.
– Then set up your scene in Alice.
Implementation Phase: Document, enter statements, and decompose when necessary.
Make sure your program includes the following:
a. Procedures; myFirstMethod must be a driver
b. If/Else control structure
c. parameters
d. Camera movement
e. Interaction (mouse click, button press, etc…).
f. Comments to document your code.
Testing: Save and Test program, debug when necessary. Make sure you have backup copies. As the program grows there is always a possibility of it crashing.
Deliverables: Submit to Blackboard these 3 items;
– completed program (.a3p file)
– story in Word
– algorithm in Word
