This is a proposal for a research. In the files I have provided the methods draft and the articles I am using. I just need the method part to be done. For this assignment, you will create a full draft of the Method section of your proposal.
You created a brief version of this draft for assignment P1.B in Week 7. By now you will have received feedback about this plan for your proposal.
You’ve been learning about the different research claims and strategies, in class, in lab, and in PsycLearn. You’ve written a social media lit review (Labs 1, 2, 3) and are now acquiring and reading articles for your proposal. All of these sources are providing you with examples of research methodology and models of how to present these methods in an article. The Method section of a proposal differs from an article in several ways. For a proposal, you write the Method section in the future tense because you are telling your reader what you ‘will’ do to obtain the data needed to test your research hypothesis. An article’s Method section tells the reader how the research was performed. By the time an article is written, the sample has been collected and so the subsection describing the participants will have information about the actual sample and how it was recruited. For your proposal, your Participant subsection will describe the population to be studied, how the sample will be obtained, and the proposed sample size.
The Method section includes the following subsections:
Statement of the design – there is no subsection heading for this. It appears just after the section title Method. It is generally only a sentence or two.

Data Analysis Plan <– not required for this draft, but give it a try if you remember this from Stats.
