Instructions
Review the scenario assigned to your group, same as your group number. Even though you work in a group, all members of your group will submit the activity (with the same solutions) individually on HuskyCT. So, remember to share your answers with your group-members.
Use the table of contents or the document outline to navigate.
Designate individuals to be:
Note-taker for your group’s responses to questions
Speaker when you share out at the end with the class as a whole
Timekeeper for keeping you on-task and on track to finish the assignment in the allotted time
Using online resources (see Recommended Resources, below), estimate income for the UConn graduate in your scenario, given their position, experience (if any), and education.
Using the budget chart for your scenario, generate estimated costs for each budget item. You may add categories as you see fit, based on your scenario, as these are just general expenses likely to apply to all.
Note: I recommend you divide and conquer – split up the categories among group members to fill out expenses. If you don’t get through all of these in the 5 minutes, it’s okay! Just move on to the next section and use the information you have.
Answer the following questions amongst your group and prepare to share out:
What debt should your UConn graduate tackle first (if applicable)?
Should this individual adjust their spending, and if so, how?
What are strategies this individual can use to reduce their monthly bills?
Discuss the following and talk about your group’s response with the whole class:
What are the major takeaways from this group activity?

Challenges your group faced with your scenario
How does this scenario make you reflect about your life situation after graduation?
