This is a ANALYSIS/ RESEARCH paper that should have an ARGUMENT:
The essay already has 5 sources, if you wanted to add more based on your work is fine but its not needed.
I got this done by someone before on this site but was not up to parr. I got someone fromt a writting center to revise it and they gave me multiple critiques and revisions. I need someone that will do a good job as I need this paper to pass my class. I hace attached 2 files to this. One file is the Original Paper without revisions. And the second file is the edits and revisions that need to be done. Addittional revisions include:
– QUOTE THE BOOK MORE (I told the last writter this and he did not use much quotes or refrence the book much)
– There is NO CLEAR thesis. I carefully crafted a thesis and I would like for this thesis to be included and the main argument for the paper.
– Talk about the Main problems of the book, Racisms, Seism
– Talk about the Traiditionalism and Moderisnm
-Explain how the book changes the world
– Arguments need to be Conected back to the thesis.
– Add topic sentences to every paragraph
– TALK ABOUT THE DIALECT in the book in any part of the essay and how a modernistic approach would look at this vs a traditionalism
– 20-75% of the paragraphs should talk about the analisis on the book
– What is the main argument
– Some paragraphs seem to lead to nothing which seem to be a problem beacause all paragrpahs should have an argument and an overall disccussion with AT LEAST 1 Quotations and refrencing back to the book and overall thesis
– There is ALOT of repetition, I need this fixed for it not to be repeated too much
– everything should be connected
– Donnt worry: put your own thoughts, ideas, opinions on the topic, book, and overall argument of modernism and traditionalism
I have already made a rough draft for my essay. I want someone to take a second look and critique it based on the instructions given to me by my professor.
This is Based on the book:
Hurston,
Zora Neale. Their Eyes Were Watching God,
75th Anniversary Edition. Harper Perennial, 2013.
i will provide you with a PDF/copy
This is an Research / Analysis paper. Last time i got point off because
I did not use direct quotes or anything from the book.
Be specific and dont be general.
use specific examples from the book.
Explain everything you are trying to say. refrence the book.
The central question the research paper and thesis is:
For a long time, Hurston’s Their Eyes Were Watching God was disparaged due to its use of dialect. Now, however, it is lauded and held up as a triumph of literary achievement. What changed and why? Why was Alice Walker able to resurrect appreciation for Hurston when she did? What does that say about our society and its relationship to modernism?
HUM458A: Research Papers (5-7 pages each, 5+ sources each)
Paper 2 Due: 4/18
The focus of this course is a study of how the Modernist movement of the early to mid-twentieth century tore down old ideals of behavior and institutions and replaced them with a new and different set of ideals and accepted institutions. The idea of the “modern” has had a profound effect on not only American society, but on the world at large. In class, we will be discussing numerous works from the height of the American Modernist period and analyzing their significance to the audience at the time as well as to the audience of today. Though we will seek to be thorough, there will doubtless be aspects of each of these works that we will not be able to thoroughly explore. Your task, in two short research-based literary analysis papers, is to expand upon our class discussions and deepen your understanding of one or several of the works we are studying, bringing in outside sources and other contemporary works to develop a unique and compelling thesis regarding the cultural, structural, or even psychological significance of your chosen work.
***This is PAPER 2, Paper 1 is completed
In general, however, you are writing an in-depth literary analysis of one or more works that break down the traditional narratives and structures of the past (for paper 1) or build new narratives and structures for a modern world (for paper 2). All papers should incorporate at least 5 sources (including the primary sources), be 5-7 pages in length (approximately 1250-2100 words), feature double-spaced Times New Roman 12-point font, with numbered pages, stapled, with a works cited page in MLA format. A rough draft for each paper is allowable but is strictly optional. If you wish to receive your rough draft back in time to make revisions for your final draft, be certain to submit it a week or more prior to the due date. Papers may be handed in at any time during the semester up until the due date. Late work is not accepted.
Things to Keep in Mind
Everything that applied to literary analysis papers applies here—don’t needlessly summarize, back up everything, cite appropriately, etc..
You will need to perform significant critical research for this paper. You must use (i.e. actually cite in the paper) at least 5 sources. This is including your primary sources (the works you use), but it also should include a solid batch of criticism or secondary sources related to your topic.
Use of direct quotations from the text(s) in question as well as from the sources you cite is required. You’re going to have to demonstrate to me that you’ve both read the book and the sources and understood both!
Use the CoF libraries as well as the BPL and our own online resources to help with your research. If you can’t find criticism written about the novels directly, you should be able to find works related to the topic overall (gender roles, portrayals of the mob, Rudyard Kipling, etc.). Talk to me if you have any trouble.
Even if you don’t turn in a rough draft, I highly suggest sending me your thesis once you get it nailed down. Often a weak thesis can snowball into a weak paper; a strong one can carry a paper through to its conclusion.
