This homework is based on one article that I have to write 2 pages (the literature review and the conclusion) I am going to attach some pictures that explains what is about. I already have my title page, myth background and the reference. On the 2 pages that I need has to contain the literature review and the conclusion. The article that I can use is the one that I am going to attach. For the first paragraph the one that says “Tell me why you think people believe the myth” you have to use the article “Parenting agendas: An empirical study of intensive mothering and infant cognitive development” (I am going to attach the pdf article)
2. Where it says “Find out what psychologists believe” it says that I have to use at least two sources, those sources I already have it. I am going to attach a picture with the link of the article. It’s because I did an assignment and I had to look for those two and the teacher knows that I am going to use those two.
For the body paper :
1. 1. Tell me why you think people believe the myth. This will be the opening paragraph of your paper. Let me know, for example, where did you learn about this myth? Did somebody teach you? Is it ‘common knowledge’? How is this myth reinforced? Has it been perpetuated through pseudoscience?
Think about where people’s knowledge about this topic came from I’m guessing a quick Googie search will give you some ideas here.).
2.Find out what psychologists believe. This will be the body of your paper. You will need at least two legitimate sources (peer-reviewed empirical journal articles) that you will summarize. As you are reviewing two articles for this paper, consider how the two studies synthesize. Did one build on the findings of the other? Did they test different populations or settings? Were their findings consistent with each other? If inconsistent, what is the general consensus on the topic?
3. Draw conclusions. In your final paragraph/s, summarize the evidence that debunks the myth. In other words, if the topic came up in conversation, what would you say now to dispel people of this myth?
References (this will be the last page of your paper. Only reference what you have cited in the body of your paper and make sure you reference everything you cite!
