This draft can be a continuation of your main draft if your revisions only apply to specific paragraphs, but if you need to revise your actual claim, many students find such revision easier if they begin a new document, write a new introduction and thesis, and copy and paste only the material from the previous draft that is still relevant and helpful to making your argument.

For this draft, your focus and emphasis should still be on argumentation and organization. You may need to find several new sources, add metacommentary, rearrange ideas, or modify your argument and thesis to be more nuanced and complex. But you will now also focus on polishing your draft for well-written sentences, cleaned up grammar and punctuation, and accurate in-text citations and reference page.

Using peer and instructor feedback, revise your second research paper draft to strengthen the thesis statement, deepen the analysis, and arrange the organization of ideas. You will also polish the draft and edit for errors in grammar, punctuation, and APA style. Your paper should be between 2000 and 2500 words, although you will not be penalized for exceeding this count.

You can earn up to 10 extra credit points for attending a writing center appointment and forwarding Dr. Vidarte the emailed summary report you receive after your session.
You will also upload a separate, one-page, single-spaced reflection letter, addressed to Dr. Vidarte, commenting on your writing process from your first draft to this one. Give specific examples from your paper drafts, wherever possible.
