This assignment requires that you write a 6-8- page, double-spaced paper on an LGBTQ+ health issue that emerges from the readings and audio/visual material in the course utilizing an ecological framework as well as another relevant theory to assess the health issues from multiple systems and perspectives. It is expected that you will conduct research to gather information beyond the course readings. The paper must include a minimum of 4 references (1-textbook)

The body of the paper should be further divided to address the following areas:
Review of the health concern/issue: Description and exploration of the issue as it pertains to LGBTQ+ individuals with relevant literature. (What did the interviewee say about their health concerns) (Use evidence-based reference, resources to explain this)
Application of the health issue for LGBTQ+ individuals to an ecological framework:
Micro level – What are the biological factors that are important in understanding this issue (health status, biological sex, physiological age, etc.)?
What are the psychological factors that are affected by this issue (emotion, cognition, memory, etc.)?
Are there social factors that must be considered to best understand this individual (roles, relationships, communication patterns, social expectations, etc.)?
Mezzo level – In what way do small groups affect the health concern/issue (family support, school support, peer support, religious support).
Macro level – In what way do culture, communities, institutions, and organizations contribute to the health concern/issue.
Application of a theory to the health concern/issue: Use a theory (there are many included in the readings for this course) and apply that theory or framework to understand some aspect of the health concern/issue. (Ecological, social learning, conflict theory, family systems, social construct etc.).
Implications for Social Work: Identification of what else needs to be done in order to improve the health concern/issue. Your ideas should represent logical inferences based on the literature.
