For each question, please draw from different lectures and examples of music. Also, make it personal. Explain how *you* connect with the material.

Thinking about country music, which lecture and recorded example(s) helped you to understand some idea about identity or ideology the most? Explain. Be specific in identifying what you are discussing. For example, with regard to identity, you could discuss urban versus rural lifestyles, class, race, clothing, use of language, or community identity. With regard to ideology, you could discuss values, religious beliefs, social attitudes, political ideas, and so on.
2) Choosing from a lecture and recorded example(s), which purely musical aspect of country music interested you the most? Explain.
3) Thinking about country music, which lecture and recorded example(s) helped you to understand some idea about gender issues or capitalism the most? Explain. Be specific in identifying what you are discussing. For example, with regard to gender issues, you could discuss attitudes about relationships, sexuality, social expectations, fairness, the tensions generated by male dominance, and so on. With regard to capitalism, you could discuss the music business, various markets, promotion, commercialism and so on.
