The purpose of this assignment is to get you to compare the musical King Kong which is presented in a Broadway production on stage and then of course as a film. There have been several King Kong films but I want to have you explore putting an idea that is larger than life on the stage and whether or not it’s effective. That’s the purpose of what we’re trying to do here I mean we could say the same thing about the musical Titanic where they sink an ocean liner on the stage or the Broadway show or Miss Saigon landing a helicopter on the stage or Phantom of the Opera where they use lots of different technical effects to create the reality of the production. So what are we doing here we’re trying to see if these cinematic larger than life productions are affectively presented to an audience on the stage. Do they add to it do they take away from it are the stories.
Discuss the qualities of what happens in each one so that’s an each PROMPT (1-5) will be an average of 100 words and make sure you do this assignment in your own words and thoughts and if you can might be fun for you to rent the King Kong the film and you could really get an understanding of the what the story is about.
