The purpose of this assignment is to get a better understanding of some of the major problems and aspects of education.

3. Use an internet search engine to find information or websites on Education and its problems.

I went to Google and typed in problems with education. This pulled up 149,000,000 sites. When reading through Section #4 you may Google specific topics. Do whatever assists you in discussing the questions and issues. I would look through several to find answers to the following questions or that address the issues presented in #4.
4. Pick two topics to research on the internet:
➢ Inequality of education due to money or lack of money
➢ Comparison of American schools to another country
➢ Home Schooling
➢ Drop out rates
➢ Functional illiteracy
➢ Segregation
➢ Tracking
➢ Gender inequality
➢ Diversity in the classroom
➢ Education those with disabilities
➢ Teacher shortage
➢ Violence
With your two researched topics, focus on these issues:
• Pick two other states to compare your two topics to Mississippi. Give me one example of how the chosen states are superior to our own with both topics. Give me one example of how Mississippi is superior to your chosen states with both topics. If we are in no way superior, discuss one way that we can improve both topics. List the websites used to gather your information.
• If you had the power, money, resources, knowledge, magic wand, etc. to correct these two issues, how would you do it? Be thorough and thoughtful as to how you can help the educational system.
• Why did you choose those two topics?

5. After researching your topic on the internet, you are now ready to post your answer. Post it just as you would an email. Type your favorite grade or college year. If you haven’t had one, make one up.
6. In the Message box answer the questions listed in #4.
7. When you have finished typing in your information, click on the submit button on the bottom of the page.
