Substance Use Disorder (SUD) (medication or drug abuse)
Domestic Violence Victims: Domestic violence (DV) is violence that takes place within a household and can be between any two people within that household. Domestic Violence can occur between a parent and a child (child abuse), siblings, or any other relative living in the house. It can include abuse of the elderly, or it can even include abuse of roommates.
Intimate Partner Violence Victims: Intimate partner violence (IPV) can only occur between romantic partners who may or may not be living together in the same household. Intimate Partner Violence may also be referred to as Intimate Partner Domestic Violence (IPDV)
Sexual Assault Victims (can include Date Rape victims, non-family child abuse, etc.)
Returning Military Personnel with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Incarcerated Population
Human Trafficking
Identify the biological, psychological, environmental, sociocultural, behavioral, and health system determinants that may influence your selected target population. This should help you determine the nursing interventions for this population. Each determinant should have its own APA Level 1 Topic Heading.

Sources/References: Minimum of three (3) scholarly journal articles published within the last five (5) years. Research is required to be from the U.S. or Canada. No international research studies are allowed. No Letters to the Editor, Commentaries, Editorials, Article Reviews, Book Reviews, and/or Continuing Education (CE) articles. Additional sources can be the ANA Foundation course textbooks, additional full-text nursing scholarly articles, or the Jacobsen (2024) textbook from the NUR4107 Global Trends in Nursing Practice course. Other sources that are not accepted: ASN textbooks, online books, videos, StatPearls articles, Wikipedia, Wikis, and consumer, patient, and family websites, blogs, videos, audio podcasts, .edu websites, are not accepted.

All papers, in-text citations, and references are required to be in correct APA 7th ed. format.
