The objective of this
assignment is to assess your degree of mastery of the SLOs by having you
write a paper including applications of each of them.
Students will write a paper
describing their understanding of the role of ethical leadership in the workplace,
and provide rational for these actions based off of the Case Study
provided. Students will clearly identify and describe the application of
ethical strategies when appropriate. Students will integrate principles into
the plan of action they provide.
The goal is that students will articulate a solid understanding of
the behaviors and practices connecting ethical leadership and how they will
incorporate these behaviors and practices into their leadership based on the
Case Study. They will include the key components that have been addressed in
the course.
Each paper will be a narrative at least three pages in length,
adhere to APA style (1” margins, double spaced, Times New Romans, 12 point font
and include correctly formatted Title page and Reference page. In addition at
least two academic sources (i.e. academic textbook, peer-reviewed journal
article beyond the class textbook will be required for each paper.
Students should anticipate that this paper will be between 3-5
pages in length and APA formatted.

The
student will be incorporating your
understanding and recommendations for a company. The Case study part is that
you can research a particular company that may have had lapses in ethics and
leadership or may be an excellent example of positive leadership and ethics.
Put on your consulting hat and write your recommendations for the company or accolades.
Some
ideas for companies could be Enron, World Com, Tyco, Hollinger Int’l, Yahoo,
Denny’s Corporation, Walmart, Amazon, Volkswagen, Nike. United, Equifax, Google.
