Purpose
The purpose of this speech is to teach your audience on a topic that you and them are interested in. You are not trying to change attitudes or persuade the audience of anything, you are simply presenting us with facts, so your topic must enhance the class in a positive way.
Required
5-7 minutes of speaking time. 
3-5 sources are required. One must be an academic source (book,journal, scholarly article, or a professional/credible source ) I encourage you to use the Cypress College online library.
A presentation aid (PowerPoint, Google Slides)
All drafts should include:
Cover page with name and topic
Final draft
List of references/Works Cited Page

Quick tips
Use ONE notecard with words, not sentences. This will give you more scope for audience engagement and eye contact/looking in the camera.
While practicing, record your speech to keep track of time, delivery, body language and overall organization.
Check your grammar. Your outline should have full sentences.
Be careful with words. We do NOT want to hurt or offend anyone in the classroom.
