Part 3: Intervention Modality with Action Steps
Identify your group intervention modality and your planned action steps for meeting the needs of a multicultural group who don’t know each other.
Describe the steps to maintaining and generalizing change efforts. Describe your rationale for each action step and the goal to be achieved.
Identify the best practice approach (task or treatment) that fits the chosen issue identified population and briefly explain why.
Explain what key cultural sensitivity factors are important and need to be considered and how the group design and facilitation will manage them.
Describe the group dynamics you desire as well as what you anticipate and how the group will manage this
Develop a 6 week curriculum of action steps for your group.
Include a weekly breakdown.
Include expected deliverables (from the group members).
Identify all necessary elements (location type, major supplies needed, close-open, roles of members – are they rotating).
Establish the type of hypothetical environment and identify which factors are needed for the group (assumptions for the environment and social climate).
Establish the mechanics of the group needed for effective functionality such as group size, closed or open, common traits/experiences, length of sessions and program, target goals, collectively and individually, how to measure success, expected outcomes, termination, closure and follow up plan.
Remember to use APA format and support your position with citations from scholarly sources, where applicable.
