The goal of this assignment is to have you review all materials covered about cellular/molecular neuroscience in this course and connect concepts into your working hypothesis of how the brain works at the cellular/molecular level.
Content Instructions:
Create a CONCEPT MAP (containing e.g., flow-chart boxes, arrows, drawings, thought bubbles) that illustrates the relationships between bits of information you learned about brain cells and their physiology and function. Tip: Google “concept map science.”
Formatting Instructions:
Draw on a poster size paper or create a PowerPoint slide (the latter is easier since you will be able to rearrange things as needed). Note, the grading rubric below does not include aesthetics, so do not spend inordinate amounts of time prettifying your concept map. However, it has to be readable. Please take a photo of the former (if a drawing) and convert into a PDF file. Please submit on Canvas via the assignment link. Your file name needs to end with the file extension: .pdf
Grading Rubric (maximum 5 % points toward your course grade):
Completeness to showcase everything you learned and appropriately capture the complexity of the topic. 2 pts
Accuracy in the depiction of the relationships between concepts (appropriate terminology, factual accuracy, hierarchy, directional connections depicted using arrows). 2 pts
Clear organization (no word clouds, please; legibility). 1 pt
