All sources must be academic in nature and must be cited properly in your reference section. Please cite sources you use in the body of the paper. For an 8-page paper, you should have at least 3 solid sources. If you need assistance with this, please speak to the professor.
The following is the Rubric for this paper and what it is graded on (Your paper should be laid out in these three [3] sections:
#1 Gather the Facts (Introduction) – Introduce and clarify the crucial facts of your topic. Ask yourself these two primary questions. What do I know? & What do I need the reader to know? Points: 30
#2 Share their story – Explain to the reader who this person is to the specific religion they represent. What did they do? What did the accomplish? What did they develop? Were they thought of as the “beginning of the faith?” Describe in full the religion and practices here too. Be very specific about their significance to the religion. Points: 40
#4 Conclusion – What did this person provide to the religion to set the stage for others to come behind them? What is happening in this religion now because of this persons work? Points: 20
#5 Format of Paper – This is the layout of paper, following directions for the paper, spelling, grammar, APA format of citations and Reference page. Point: 10
Please organize your paper out in exactly the above outline with sub-headings. It will make it easier for you to keep track of your rubric. In other words, please lay out your paper with the following subheadings:
Introduction
The Story of (place your person’s name here)
Conclusion
About APA Style: APA is very specific in its format. If you have not written in APA recently, please make sure you check out Purdue OWL online [https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/] to assist you with what is acceptable and what you should not do.
For example, the personal pronoun “I” is not allowed in APA. I do not expect to see you using the first person in your papers.
Spelling and grammar does count!
