Team Discussion for Module 6
The Module 6 discussion is organized in THREE steps:
- Each team member will select either one of the journal articles listed on Table 11.4, 11.6, or 11.8 of your textbook – OR, each member may search through the ASU library for an example of a comparative design.
- Each member will share their study during the team meeting by answering the following questions:
- What was the title of your article?
- What was the journal and year published?
- How did you go about locating it?
- What was the independent variable?
- What was the dependent variable?
- Briefly describe the participants and setting.
- What design was used? (note, if it was a combined design, please only discuss the withdrawal/reversal portion)
- Looking at the data, do you believe there is a functional relation? Why or why not? Describe the results as explained by the authors.
- Looking a “quality” in single case research, does your article meet that definition by having all of the following:
- IOA of at least 80%?
- Fidelity for data collection
- Fidelity for intervention implementation
- Social validity
- Submit the APA formatted reference for each article along with a PDF for each article with your Team Discussion. You may combine the PDFs together into one document.
