• An intriguing question is whether AI-generated media could help critics shift their attention from an excessive focus on media content (i.e. types of misinformation) to a nuanced structural analysis of changes in media production (Ferrari & Mckelvey, 2023)
• When it comes to media, the term “international” does not necessarily mean or imply “global,” as oftentimes cultural artifacts increasingly find in the new digital environment novel outlets of international distribution, reaching culturally and geographically distant audiences (Sigismondi, 2020).
