Task Description:
Students will need to write a 2000 – 3000 word essay (excluding the list of references but including in-text references) on a topic relevant to leadership.
At Masters level we will be looking for some level of complexity in your argument and that your essay engages and inspires a deeper level of thinking and analysis, for the writer and the reader. Below is list of four possible topics to explore in an essay.

Assess how this has influenced the competences and skill of future leaders in the space of agriculture and rural industries.
3. Empowering Indigenous Leadership in Agriculture and Rural Industries
Examine the challenges faced by indigenous leaders in navigating the modern agricultural and agribusiness landscape. Investigate strategies for empowering and supporting indigenous leadership in rural industries, considering the preservation of cultural identity while fostering economic development and innovation.
4. Women’s Leadership in Agriculture: Breaking Barriers and Driving Change
Examine the role of women in leadership positions within the agriculture and rural industries. Evaluate the challenges they face, the contributions they make, and the potential for transformative leadership to empower women in traditionally male-dominated sectors. Highlight success stories and strategies for overcoming gender-related obstacles.
Steps
Step 1
Choose one of the four topics above and generate your own dot points based on literature. Make sure to reference the literature properly. Cite at least 12 peer-reviewed sources of relevant leadership literature.
Step 2
Ask ChatGPT to generate a 1000 word essay on the basis of your dot points.
Step 3
Review the essay comparing the ideas that you read in literature to the points generated by ChatGPT and evaluate which one they prefer/agree with and why. (1000 words)
Step 4
Submit the 2000 – 3000 word document which includes 1) your original dot points; 2) the ChatGPT generated essay; and 3) your critical reflection on the ChatGPT generated essay.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) provides emerging tools that may support students in completing this assessment task. Students may appropriately use AI in completing this assessment task. Students must clearly reference any use of AI in each instance.
