Students will be required to write a paper related to their practicum fieldwork. Please refer to the syllabus on the project requirements and outline. 
• Document must be typed, 12-point Times New Roman font, 1 inch margins all around, double space. The body of the paper must be at least 10 pages, but not more than 15 pages in length. The page numbers for body is not inclusive of title page and reference pages. 
• Title page with student’s name, date, course name and number, and Professor’s name should be provided. 
• The paper will consist of the four sections (outlined below). 
• Include 5 – 7 References at the end of the paper. Use APA Section One – Introducing the Practicum:
1. Introduction
a. Where are you doing your practicum? What services does your site offer?
b. What is the name and title of supervisor? Include applicable credentials.
c. Who is the population(s) that your site serves? Describe the population(s) in terms of demographics.
d. What are some of the major needs of the population(s) that your organization serves?
2. Discussion with your Site Supervisor -­‐ Request a time to discuss the services and patients with your supervisor.
a. What are some of the major needs of the population(s) that your organization serves?
b. What factors create these needs? For example, do poverty or cultural barriers contribute to the challenges faced by the population(s)?
c. Are these needs unique to the population(s) you describe or are they experienced by other populations?
d. If the challenges are experienced by others, who are some of the other affected populations?

Section Two – Introducing the Challenge:
1. Select one major challenge experienced by those served by your organization and describe how the site where you are placed addresses this challenge.
a. What are some current interventions practiced by your site to prevent the challenge?
b. What are some current interventions practiced by your site to treat or reverse the challenge?
c. What intervention(s) is the site currently not practicing that you feel would benefit the population(s) served? Note: Identifying these interventions will require a review of literature related to the specific challenge you have selected. Reviews of Literature will include a minimum of 5 academically appropriate sources (i.e. – academic journal, government report, expert source, etc.)
d. Why is the site not practicing the intervention(s) you identified?

1. Develop an idea for an intervention that will address the challenge you identified and described in Section Two.
a. Name, define, and describe the intervention. What is the intervention and how does it aim to minimize or eliminate the challenge you identified in Section Two?
b. How would the intervention be implemented by the site where you have been placed?
c. What resources (budget, staff, space, materials, advertising, etc.) would be needed to implement the intervention?
d. What barriers might the site encounter in trying to implement the intervention?
