Imagine you are a successful
corporate development consultant and the new Managing Directors of TENTACLE
Outdoor Ltd. ask you to provide strategic advice to the company. One of your
first tasks is to design an innovation plan. Apply Tidd
and Bessant´s simplified model of the innovation process to develop:
• a new product: High-quality camping
sleeping pad waterproof, insulated and self-inflated
Argue comprehensibly which
activities and measurements (KPIs) need to be implemented.
The innovation plan should
consist of the following:
• The identification, definition,
and brief description of the innovation
• The intended target customer
group/market segments
• The ecosystem (partnerships,
alliances, acquisitions) needed to develop and deliver the innovation
• A technology (innovation)
roadmap
• An overview of potential
synergies
• The potential risks and how
these can be mitigated
• A conclusion with a short
summary and recommendations outlining the considerations TENTACLE Outdoor Ltd
should take in their innovation strategy The Managing Directors have a short
attention span, they do not want a lecture on theory in detail. They need to
know the facts from the field and therefore the report must contain the most
important information so that they can evaluate the above points and make
strategic decisions. Your assignment paper should be professionally structured
including a table of contents with page numbers, and references. You might
insert tables, graphics, or illustrations.
Please note: Theory should be
applied specifically to the service to demonstrate understanding. Simply
explaining theory is not sufficient.

display the answers clearly according to the following template: • What
external factors are there? (Opportunities V Threats) • How do these external
factors affect the company? (Changes in the market, in the technological,
social and / or ecological environment)

• How do these internal factors affect the company?

analysis?
