Some researchers have investigated how stable attachment styles are from infancy into adulthood. Review pages 158-164 in your textbook. What type of attachment style do you think you had as a child? Since attachment style is typically set by 18 months you will need to talk to one or more early caregivers if possible. Use specific terms and details to discuss what makes you think this was your attachment style.
Next, take the “Close Relationships Questionnaire” by visiting www.authentichappiness.com (opens in a new window). This site requires that you create an account to complete questionnaires. The information you share (name, zip code, age), along with the results of your questionnaire, is used for research purposes. If you prefer not to complete the questionnaire, you must still address the questions below (just use your best “guess” regarding attachment style).
This questionnaire will give you an idea of your current attachment style. Is your current attachment style the same as when you were a child? What factors since your infancy/toddler years affected your attachment style? How?

The following video demonstrates the egocentrism that we see in preoperational thought.

I like this video because 1) it uses fraternal twins so you can see the difference in their thinking even though they are the exact same age, and 2) because it shows several of the conservation tasks (many videos only show conservation of liquid). Watch to the end to see how the girls differ (slightly) in the level of centration shown.
