So this is the 3rd part of a 3 part assignment. Paper 1 and 2 are already done and this is (paper 3) – just fyi incase it causes any confusion for the writer when he/she looks at the assignment instruction.pdf
The instructions for this final paper begins where it says ″Topics for paper 3″. The 3 chapters, 2 articles, 3 videos, and the reflection answers are all given. You must use all these sources and incorporate them into the assignment.
Paper 3 is focused on the three chapters and lectures that are being covered in Weeks 9, 10, 11, and 12: Problem-Solving, Social Cognition and Models of Early Learning. You will identify your topic according to
the article that you choose (either one of the two that we covered – see below) and its corresponding chapter, and you will relate that to early learning (journal reflections, Chapter 8, plus one video from Chapter 8). Again, you will choose 3 areas of early learning for your paragraphs, and this time these will NOT be related to teaching strategies, but to larger topics or issues in the field (see outline for details).
The goal of your paper is to focus on either Problem-Solving or Social Cognition and draw from a diversity of voices presented in Chapter 8 to inform critical insights into how we think about working with young children and families. The focus of Paper 1 was theory, the focus of Paper 2 was applying research to practice, and the focus of Paper 3 is big lessons learned for how we think about our environments, and how we can change them. So this is less about *activities* you would do, or how you would teach, and more about how thinking could shift and what we need to *change* our systems, institutions and environments to support all children’s thinking and learning.
You should use the reflection answers.pdf (which are my personal answers to certain questions asked from the textbook) and integrate/draw ideas from them to support your answers/ideas. The paper can be written in the first person.
I would ask the writer to carefully and thoroughly read the outline section of the ″Handout Analytic Reflection Paper 3 Assignment instruction.pdf″ and follow the instructions and format of the outline. The ″outline″ pretty much provides a step by step format and instructions to follow for each section/paragraph. Additionally, although the paper says the word count is 750, the prof has changed that into 750 to 900 words, in case we′d like to go over the initial word limit.
Background information: It is important to note that I am in the early childhood education program and the name of this course is ″children′s thinking and learning″. Therefore, this assignment is regarding children and you will have to write as if you are me, a student in this program and course. I am only mentioning this, as the assignment before this, the writer (from elsewhere) wrote from a perspective of a teacher and so the assignment became about high-school students. Instead, the assignment is about children since the course is about children′s learning and thinking and so therefore, you are writing as if you are an early childhood education student. I hope this makes sense.
So this is the 3rd part of a 3 part assignment. Paper 1 and 2 are already done a
