Signature Assignment
Background:
The Case & Signature Assignments represent a continuation of one another, building on each other and integrating course concepts.
Although these
are two assignments, they are highly interrelated and collectively integrate concepts presented throughout the course.
You are a researcher that is developing a mini-research proposal for a study you would like to conduct in the field. Building on your Case Assignment from
module 4, you will complete your Signature Assignment. Specifically, you will add the following information to your Case Assignment: Your paper should be at
least 8-10 pages (not including title page and bibliography).
1. Research Methods
1. Explain your research methods (e.g. – interviews, survey, observation, focus groups, etc.)
2. Explain what type of information you would like to collect with the method/s you selected.
3. Discuss any instruments that you would need to conduct the research study you are considering. (Be certain to discuss reliability and validity
relating to the instrument).
2. Ethical Consideration
1. Discuss any ethical issues related to the study you are considering. Be certain to tell me how you will overcome the ethical issues and protect
human research participants.
3. Grant Funding
1. Identify at least one organization from which you would be able to apply for funding. Be certain to describe an overview of their requirements
for research funding.
4. Research Report Dissemination
1. Discuss the final preparation of the report of your findings and your plan to disseminate your research findings. (Note: information about
research dissemination was provided in the reading material for Module 8).
