What is an Annotated Bibliography? An annotated bibliography includes all of the citation information needed to find a source and a paragraph describing the source.
This assignment is designed to help you evaluate sources of information you have found for writing Critical Essay #2.
Research sources for Critical Essay #2. After viewing the available sources, select the sources you will use to support the main points in your essay. Then use the library databases to find articles, locate books or eBooks, etc. about your topic.
Find a minimum of 3 sources on your topic. These should be your best sources, so that means you will likely have reviewed at least twice this many.
Do not include the citation for the short story (or play) you are using as the focus of your essay. (You will add that citation in the Works Cited list of your final paper).
For the 3 sources – These can be a combination of books, ebooks, approved magazine articles, websites, and database articles. No more than 2 reliable websites may be used, and these must be approved by your instructor. At least one source should be a scholarly peer-reviewed article from EBSCO or another database.
Look for reliable, valid sources that discuss research and use academic language. (See tips at the bottom of the page)

Remember: Annotations are original descriptions that you create after reading the document. When researching, you may find journal articles that provide a short summary at the beginning of the text. This article abstract is similar to a summary annotation. You may consult the abstract when creating your evaluative annotation, but never simply copy it as that would be considered plagiarism.
The format should list the citation, then the appropriate paragraph annotation followed by the next citation and annotation. All entries should be typed and double spaced.
Do not skip additional lines between entries.
This will be graded as a writing assignment.
