Part 1 of the assignment is to choose one of the structures we have studied in EDU 9015 – nouns, pronouns, verbs, adverbs, prepositions, etc. Then choose an unfamiliar language and study how that language compares with the English structure you have chosen. PLEASE USE “NOUNS” AND HOW THEY DIFFER IN SPANISH AND ENGLISH AND/OR HOW THEY ARE SIMILAR. Use charts and other graphics to clearly show/outline the similarities and differences.
Part 2 asks you to select at least two of the similarities and/or differences between the two languages in how each language deals with the particular structure you have chosen. Thoroughly discuss the similarities and differences giving specific examples.
Part 3 of the project wants you to anticipate (discuss and explain) the challenges speakers of the unfamiliar language (Spanish) are likely to encounter as they acquire the structure you have chosen (nouns) given the differences between the two languages.
Finally, PART 4 asks you to prepare an activity (a game, an exercise, role play, etc.) that you, as an educator, could use to help students of this language background acquire the structure.
