Idris Aminu Idris is a Technical Consulting Engineer (TCE) and High Touch Engineer (HTE) at Cisco Systems Inc. He graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 2010 and earned a Master’s in Distributed Systems and Networks from the University of Hertfordshire, UK. Additionally, Idris holds an Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology in Washington, D.C.
Idris possesses several high-level technical certifications, including four CCIEs (in Routing and Switching, Service Provider, Data Center, and Security) and a Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE) certification.
In his role at Cisco, Idris serves as the first point of contact for technical issues, providing the highest level of personalized, high-touch technical support to resolve critical networking issues and address chronic network problems. He specializes in solving complex technical challenges related to service provider designs and deployments, encompassing multiple devices and technologies, including Routing and Switching, Service Provider, Data Center, Security, Collaboration, and Wireless technologies.
Idris also holds additional certifications such as ITILv4, TOGAF 9.0, AWS, and Palo Alto.
