Analyze one academic book on your person in your paper.
Analyze three academic peer-reviewed journal articles in your paper.
Include a title page.
Demonstrates college-level grammar and writing.
Include a “Works Cited” page with three primary sources and two secondary sources, including an academic book and a peer-reviewed journal article.
The “Works Cited” page and the paper must follow the correct Chicago Manual of Style Format.
Include an introductory paragraph with a thesis statement about your person.
Describe the social contributions of the individual or event.
Explains why the event was important or why the person was an important historical figure.
Provide basic historical background on your topic or biographical information on your person.
Contextualize the person in the era in which they lived or provide historical context for the event.
Describes the major events or problems of the country during the period that affected your subject. Or, describe the major parts of the historical event or topic.
Examines the influence, legacy, and accomplishments of the person or event.
Includes a conclusion that restates the thesis statement.
