Assignment: Literature Review Matrix
The purpose of a literature review is to organize several current, scholarly sources related the dissertation topic so that you can synthesize them into a meaningful discussion of the topic. To complete a literature review matrix, apply your skills of developing key terms for a search and, using Walden University Library databases, to find your research. Then, the matrix will help you organize and keep track of these sources.
To Prepare
Review the Learning Resources, specifically the Zotero Citation Manager resources to decide if you want to use this tool to track your sources. Remember that Zotero will organize your sources, although you should not rely on it for APA formatting.
Use the Walden University Library to find sources on your potential dissertation topic.
Access the Literature Review Matrix document in Word or Excel format.
Complete the Literature Review Matrix for four sources.
By Day 7 of Week 3
Write a 1-page paper about your search process in which you address the following:
Name the search terms and Boolean logic you used.
Explain steps you took to narrow your results.
Explain why you chose the articles you did.
Add four resources to your Literature Review Matrix and submit the matrix along with the 1-page paper.
