please respond to this post-n today’s fast-paced world, technology is constantly improving as time goes by, and data processing techniques allow us to collect and organize data more efficiently. By using these techniques, other healthcare professionals can access the same information. The use of technology can support clinical quality improvement by collecting, processing, and analyzing data. Telehealth can assist a patient’s medical care team in connecting to their self-care routines and helping to bridge the gap between the two.
According to Denisco, implementing an Electronic Health Record (EHR) brings about several patient benefits, such as reducing healthcare costs, enhancing access to care, and improving the quality of care. The Markle Foundation describes the Personal Health Records (PHRs) as an “electronic application through which individuals can access, manage, and share their health information as well as that of anyone whose permission they have, in a private, secure, and confidential environment. Researchers found that exchanging information between providers and clinical organizations is essential in PHR adoption measures.
When we talk about Clinical Provider Order Entry (CPOE), it is when the provider enters patient orders into the EMR at their place and time. This process reduces medical errors and improves patient safety by using the Clinical Provider Order Entry (CPOE) system, which ensures that the providers send legible and complete orders through the informatics system (Flaumenhaft & Ben-Assuli, 2018). On the other hand, the clinical decision support system (CDSS) is a computer system that provides the correct information at the right time using HER, reminding clinical providers what they already know and helping them make clinical decisions. The CDSS effectively prevents medical errors caused by drug interactions or medication allergies. To remind patients about labs and preventative care and to improve quality, the CDSS uses “Reminder pop-ups.” In addition to enhancing patient care, the CPOE and CDSS are valuable tools to help providers improve their performance (Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, 2019).
