“Love is not the incomprehensible emotion that it is made out to be. Like any other emotion, there is a reason for love, and it is because what we love is valuable to us. Though we may not know why we value the traits that we do, there is no question that we do value them and it is for these traits that we love the people or objects that hold them.”
Group Cleisthenes Opening Statement
People base value and how highly they think of someone on the love and affection that they have for that person. Because of their love for an individual, people are more likely to accept mistakes that they would not accept for someone else. Someone is regarded as more valued than others because they are loved. Essentially, having a personal connection to someone or something automatically makes us value it more.
