Tip 1: Peer-reviewed journals may also contain items that are not peer-reviewed, such as letters to the editor, opinion pieces, and book reviews. Even if you check the peer-review limiter box, you still need to examine the items carefully to be sure they are articles.
Tip 2: Draw from other reputable sources (e.g., CDC, NIH, SAMSHA, NIOSH, FDA, etc.) to support your topic but you must choose a peer reviewed article as the main focal point.
If you need help, take a look at the “Research Self Guides” or contact the librarian for “Research Assistance” at least 1-2 weeks before the due date.

Slide 8: Discuss your opinion of the topic and/or article
Slide 9: How does this topic apply or can apply to college students?
Slide 10: References (must include a minimum of 3)- MLA or APA format only-One reference must be the article and the other the e-book.
Step 4: Record yourself presenting the information within the PowerPoint.
Step 5: Write a 1-page double spaced summary of the article. The summary must include the following:
Background
The summary should focus only on the article’s main ideas and important details that support those ideas. State the main ideas. Identify the most important details that support the main ideas.
